課程概述 |
Course Description
This course will first close-read selective Shakespearean plays texts against early modern English history and politics and theories of identity and national building. The second half of the course will discuss how Shakespeare is appropriated for the same purposes abroad.

This course aims to enhance understanding of Shakespeare’s texts as well as their historical and political relevance outside their immediate context.
